Breastfeeding coverage & Insurance

Insurance companies are supposed to cover Lactation visits by law as preventative care via the The Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Pre-approval should not be needed.

After the conclusion of the appointment, you will provided with a Superbill, which is a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance.    This superbill contains all the information for reimbursement by your insurance company.  We cannot guarantee the amount the insurance company will reimburse, but if for any reason they do not reimburse you, please find the following links to use to fight for your reimbursement, as it is covered by the ACA.

Even if the insurance company does not reimburse 100% of the fee, please know that lactation care can help save money as well as provide the benefits of breastmilk for your child.
